TITLE : JIGSAW FALLING INTO PLACE
PHOTOBOOK
AUTHOR : BRUNO TREMATORE
The Italian photographer Bruno Trematore shows us the transformation of the urban space in Düsseldorf over the course of 5 years.
In his vertical compositions, the elements included are never random and the bright colours help to bridge the gap between reality and fantasy.
“This is an excerpt of 16 photos from my book “Jigsaw Falling into Place”, Bronze Medal at the 2024 German Photobook Award.
All the photos were taken in Düsseldorf between 2018 and 2023 and it has been my way to show the transformation of the urban environment and how it affects people, especially blurring the boundaries between fantasy and reality. Aggregation is now primarily based on consumption.
I am Italian and I moved to Düsseldorf in 2002, where I live and work as an engineer.
In 2020 I graduated at the Fotoakademie Köln and found a personal approach to street photography. In April 2024 I self-published the book Jigsaw Falling into Place in an artist edition of 100 copies.”
