TITLE : CARTOGRAFÍAS
SERIES
AUTHOR : MALENA CARBALLO
The Galician photographer Malena Carballo has dedicated herself to wandering around the places where she lives.
The result is this series that does not simply tell the landscape but rather its modus operandi of walking without a goal.
The important thing is not the point of arrival but the process of walking, allowing ourselves to be surprised by what surrounds us.
Walking without a goal forces us to forget about the starting point, not knowing the arrival point, allowing us to live in the ideal situation to isolate ourselves in thoughts that can unhurriedly analyze what we have done in the course of our lives.
At the same time, in this case, the camera becomes the pencil and notebook that captures places by mapping them.
