TITLE : FASHION WEEK - FASHION TRIP
CROWDFUNDING
AUTHOR : MASSIMILIANO FARALLI
Massimiliano Faralli has been traveling to Milan for fashion week for several years. His project is already about to become a book thanks to crowdfunding.
During Fashion Week, Milan becomes more populated than ever with the curious and the
uninitiated, fashion tourists, as well as hordes of photographers, models and aspiring models.
Fashion Victims, in search of their quarter of an hour of celebrity, roam the stage of Milan’s streets
with sunglasses and cell phones living and embodying the dream of the ephemeral, amid the swirl
of colors and the flash of flashes.
“Fashion Week-Fashion Trip” is a long-term project that begins in 2018 and continues layering on
itself, documenting the costumes the faces, the changing actors/spectators of a social
phenomenon, returning over the years their histrionic or amazed poses, the party atmosphere,
the smiles and stealing moments of fleeting beauty. The story of those who live the event from the
outside, in the streets around the circuits of the great fashion shows, the theater of fashion where
sometimes the most interesting show takes place among the people.
