TITLE : STRANDED
SERIES
AUTHOR : GUSTAV GRÄLL

This series by Swedish photographer Gustav Gräll takes us to discover beach life.

I have known Gustav’s work thanks to Instagram.

What I can say for sure is that he is capable of taking street, social, landscape, portrait photos (etc…) always maintaining a very high quality of work.

To follow the author’s description of this series.

“After finishing my photography studies, I started freelancing in Stockholm.

After some years of working mostly for newspaper and magazines in Sweden, I started traveling with my wife and we did travel articles from all over the world.

We often wrote about beaches and suggested places you couldn’t miss.

Suddenly I realized that there was something about the images of the beaches that had something extra.

In the end, it was as if there were two different styles in my photography: First the pictures that would be published in magazines, then the other pictures that didn’t fit in there but that became the beginning of a longer project about life on the beach called Stranded.

I really love walking around the beach and taking pictures.

One day it would be fun to make a book of the photos, but I still have a few beaches to visit.”
